Lechia Gdańsk is a club that has been drowning in a financial quagmire for months. The arrears to the players, staff and employees are reaching absurd proportions – salaries have not been paid into accounts for at least two months, and the situation is so dramatic that the players have to chip in from their own pockets to buy fuel for the club bus in order to even get to the matches. The license to play in the Ekstraklasa was hanging by a thread, the club is teetering on the brink of collapse, and the fans are watching in disbelief as their team slides to the penultimate place in the table. It is a picture of misery and despair that should make the Lechia authorities tighten their belts and desperately try to save the situation. But no – Lechia has a different plan. They are packing their bags and flying to a training camp in Dubai. Yes, you read that right: to Dubai.

Read MoreThe match started, and the Żubr team went on the attack from the first whistle, wanting to score a goal as soon as possible. As I predicted, it was a fight-filled match, which is confirmed by the number of penalties - the referee awarded three of them, although one of them was cancelled after a while. The game was played mainly in the middle of the field. For the first 20 minutes, the hosts were confined to their own half and tried to counterattack. This was especially visible on the right side of the pitch, where the popular "Żuki" harassed Drapiński time and again.

Read MoreWe had the pleasure of watching a great, but one-sided match in Zabrze. And there, the local Górnik crushed the speeding Motor Lublin. While the first half of the yellow-white-blue team was still bearable, the second half was one big misunderstanding. Jan Ubran's team took full advantage of it, and for them it was one of the better, if not the best match of the season.
