Yesterday, the Widzew Łódź team flew to Turkey to improve their form before the second round of the 2024/25 season. As can be read from the media associated with the club, it will not only be about building form before the start of the round, but also talks about new contracts for the players and the coach - Daniel Myśliwiec, whose contract expires at the end of June.
A selected group of players flew to the Antilles, along with the president, Michał Rydz, vice-president Maciej Szymański and sports director Tomasz Wichniarek, to talk about new contracts during the camp. Both the players and the club's management have their hands full, as thirteen players' contracts are expiring at the end of the season. In addition, there is the coach with whom the contract has been negotiated for several months and the expiring contracts with the club's sponsors. The option to extend the contract with Myśliwiec is still open, but in the event of a failure in the negotiations, Widzew is already developing a plan B, monitoring the coaching market in Poland and abroad. The situation and final arrangements are to be clarified before the match with Lech Poznań. Widzew's training camp in Turkey has become not only a place to polish their sports form, but also a large field for business talks that will have an impact on the further development of the club in the future.
